All of us at DigiPen hope that you and your family are keeping safe and healthy during this challenging time.
Due to the many inquiries requesting structured online learning opportunities, we wanted to let you know that DigiPen is offering a couple of options that you should consider for your student:
Online Masterclass Sessions - These are live guest lectures with industry speakers that are being scheduled for Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. The cost to attend is $5.00 per session, and all proceeds are being donated to Hopelink to help those who are struggling during the current crisis. We are still finalizing the lineup and topics, but we have confirmed three speakers so far:
Saturday, April 4th - Jazno Francoeur, former Disney animator who worked on many films including Lilo & Stitch, Tarzan, Mulan, Pocahontas, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast.
Saturday, April 11th - Matthew Yan, graphics programmer at Blizzard Entertainment who currently works on World of Warcraft.
These sessions are interactive, and your student will be able to ask questions and hear advice about getting into the industry. You can sign your student up for the next session by going to the Online Masterclass Registration Page.
Spring Break Online Workshops - For those of you who are looking for structured learning opportunities during the current school closures, DigiPen will be teaching two-week online classes starting the weeks of March 30th and April 13th. Classes are taught live and run from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Workshops that we are offering include:
